We’ve got our 3G iPhone!

Excuse us while we come over all excited, but we’ve just taken delivery of our brand spanking new 3G iPhone. Our rather, our lucky mobile games guru Stuart Dredge has.
Stuart says:
“Phew. I’m just back from the local O2 Store, having queued for nearly three hours to get my hands on a 3G iPhone. They only had 27 in apparently, which at least beat the measly six that Carphone Warehouse had up the road.
Anyway, in true tech site style, it’s time for an unboxing before I crack on with writing about the actual phone and its games.“

Our MD Chris James to speak at Casual Connect, Seattle

So our managing director Chris James has flown to Seattle to host one of the strands at Casual Connect, the casual games industry conference that’s running from July 23-25th.
He will also be letting the world know ‘What Makes a Great Mobile Game’, which is something Pocket Gamer has of course been studying for nearly three years now. According to the organizers:
The experts from Pocket Gamer share their insight into the key ingredients of an award-winning mobile game (and also a best-selling one – not always the same!), pick their top ten casual mobile titles of the year and then argue about their findings with an expert panel of mobile game publishers.
When Chris isn’t playing the good host he’ll be up to his usual wheeling and dealing, so if you’re over in Seattle and want to arrange a meeting, please do drop him a line at the usual address.
